DID YOU KNOW?

Fort Dodge - Floyd of RosedaleOne of college football's most famous rivalry trophies has a connection to Fort Dodge. Since 1935, Iowa and Minnesota have competed for the Floyd of Rosedale trophy, a bronze pig named after a real hog from Rosedale Farms near Fort Dodge. The tradition began with a wager between the two states' governors before their annual football game. Today, a larger-than-life sculpture of Floyd in Fort Dodge celebrates the community's place in this longstanding Big Ten rivalry.
